The 808 Scene is a new variety show featuring storied segments surrounding the greatest interests in sports, fashion, art, music, cuisine, and nightlife going on now, throughout Hawaii. The 808 Scene airs on KHON2/FOX every sunday at 4:30PM.
In this episode, The 808 Scene takes a look back at the biggest MMA promotion in Hawaii. Then we’ll hit downtown Chinatown on 1st friday for the Hurley and Contrast Magazine Anti-Canvas art exhibition. After that we’ll see why Stand Up Paddle Boarding or (SUP) is taking over the world. We’ll also be stopping in Hawaii Kai for some skateboarding with King Of The Groms winner Heimana Reynolds. Then we’ll jump on set with the girls competing for the Mickeys Bikini Calendar as they go through their first photo shoot.
In this Episode, we catch up with BJ Penn in training camp as he prepares for his upcoming title rematch with Frankie Edgar. Then BJ hits the skies with the armed forces for a VIP weekend of adrenaline. After that we check in with Kicks/Hi and Fitted for some tips on urban fashion. Then we head on back to the North Shore as the worlds best surfers give us insight into the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. On top of that the girls competing for the Mickeys Bikini Model Contracts hit the beach for another photoshoot.
In this Episode of The 808 Scene, we have another update with Team Penn. Then we’ll see what Mixed Martial Artist Steven Saito’s been up to. After that we head to Waimea Bay for 2 back to back segments of Quiksilvers 25th In Memory of Eddie Aikau big wave paddle in surf contest. Then we’ll checkout the 3rd photo shoot of the Mickeys Bikini Model talent search.
